DAA - Designers Against Aids is well known from their global 'Fashion against AIDS' campaigns with H&M {see ad below}.
DAA is opening their first International HIV/AIDS Awareness Education Center (IHAEC) in Antwerp, Belgium this summer, where they plan to train students from all over the world in how to create safe sex campaigns using elements of pop culture such as fashion, music, the internet, celebrities and film/video, just like DAA itself does. They are also expanding their efforts and looking for moral and financial support of
established and new models and their agencies to fight the spread of
HIV/AIDS and to give out the message that safe sex is necessary and
fashionable.
Visit their website DesignersAgainstAids.com and see how you could get involved. If you happen to be in Antwerp in Feb 12, DAA is hosting a party against AIDS at Café Local Antwerp, Belgium. DJs Buscemi and Sound of Stereo will rock the turntables. There will be a fashion show with Björn Borg underwear and designer
scarves made by Jean Paul Knott, Anna Heylen, Apl.d. Ap of the Black
Eyes Peas and many more.
