I recently met Christine Rhee, at a scrumptious dinner at Deanne's from Dream Sequins. We slaved together over some DIY pork and shrimp dumplings and while creating artful dumpling folds we bonded over fashion and design. Christine is the designer behind CRHEE, and am delighted to present her collection on Bobbin Talk. She offers clothes that make the wearer look and feel very modern, strong, and intelligent. For Spring/Summer 2010 she focuses on comfort while retaining an underlying sense of sensuality. She was inspired by the movie, "The Eyes of Laura Mars", Guy Bourdin, and Serge Gainsbourg's "Sea, Sex and Sun" and created easy luxe, flattering pieces.
Christine developed her own custom black and white digital marbled pattern print, which you can see on the following two tops. I like the modern flowing digital and yet organic feel of it.
Christine Rhee graduated from Princeton University with a degree in architecture before going on to apprentice under designer Mary Ping. CRHEE was first launched for Spring/Summer 2008 and currently retails at Standard Deviation Boutique in Brooklyn, New York.
CRHEE is for the strong, intelligent, and complex woman who is able to wear a multitude of metaphorical hats. Ha! That's me! I love hats metaphorical and real...
