Stacey Grant's collection is an emotional narrative of the unique relationship that she shares with her tailor father charting its changes following his illness. She examines how the relationships develops from childhood through to adulthood, exploring the emotions, tensions and frustrations of their journey together. But most of all this collection honors the rich history of tailoring in her family and her father.
I have much more appreciation of a designer's collection when I look through their sketch book. I love looking at the natural evolution of the though process and the design ideas before they become a finished garment.
